The “dish of the day” grew out of a very practical idea: serving the same meal to several guests, cooked with whatever was on hand. Its story is tied to that of old inns and tables d’hôte, where diners shared a common meal at a set price. The formula was already described in the Académie française dictionary back in 1762.
For the past few weeks, Le Bouchon chez Paul has been offering a daily menu every lunchtime, Monday to Friday. On the menu: fresh produce, homemade cooking and the friendly atmosphere of your favourite bouchon!
